I have had a life long involvement with Irish Setters as my parents also bred Irish Setters. We now have a small kennel located on a lifestyle property south of Auckland New Zealand.

At Karamu we are dedicated to breeding quality Irish Setters with superb temperaments, health, trainability through selective limited planned breedings. Although rarely available now in NZ Irish Setters are excellent for show, obedience, agility and most of all as wonderful home companions that you can enjoy for a lifetime.We are the only NZ Irish Setter Breeders to have combined both proven top obedience & confirmation breeding stock in our breeding programme.We breed for Beauty and Brains but most importantly for the fabulous Irish Setter Temperament 🙂
